Junior UX Designer
Opera Browser / GameMaker --- 2022 - 2026
Responsible for designing the tools and interactions for GameMaker, a 2D engine used to develop video games. I would be involved throughout the feature’s life cycle from early research, through development and release.
Designs required lateral thinking to account for its broad user base and potential workflows – beginners, hobbyists, professional developers.
1. Making Game UI Easy
Features: UI Layers, Flex panels --- Platform: GameMaker engine
Previously, GameMaker Users couldn't create in-game user interfaces without 100% coding it. My work helped Users create scalable menus and HUDs easily with in-editor previews.

2. Streamlined Onboarding
Feature: Onboarding tool --- Platform: Web Browser
GameMaker had many downloads but lower retention day-by-day. I helped launch an onboarding tool, accessible in-browser so Users could more quickly see the tool’s benefits and workflows.
